Zelda Devon
Artist: 11 Weeks of AMC's The Walking Dead
Currently based in sunny Los Angeles, Zelda Devon makes visuals for entertainment advertising, She focuses on rich storytelling through movement and vibrant color, hoping to evoke a sense of magic and whimsy. Her influence casserole has many layers. She’s delighted by cracks in old walls, architectural ornament, elaborate European fountains and deep sea giant isopods are also muses. She loves perfume labels from the 1920s, gas station signs from the 1950s, and dripping colors on a rusted tin can. She’s in love with Japanese fairytales and myth-like magic things drawn with minimal lines that exude with emotion. All these velvety notions seem to creep into her work. She gets to use these interests in developing concepts for TV and Film, storyboards for commercials, and combine illustration and hand-lettering for book covers and album covers.
